Canadian collectors chasing the Disney Lorcana Rapunzel Collection Starter Set face the same challenge that comes with most first-wave Ravensburger releases: initial allocations sell through fast, and pricing in Canadian dollars doesn't always match what's advertised south of the border.
The set released September 4, 2026, at a U.S. list price of $29.99, and Canadian retailers typically adjust pricing to account for exchange rates, duties, and their own shipping costs, so expect the Canadian price to run higher than a direct currency conversion would suggest.
Because this is a themed collection bundle rather than a booster box, it tends to show up across a wider mix of retailers than pure sealed booster product, from big box stores to specialty game shops.
This guide covers where Canadian collectors are most likely to find the set in stock, what to watch for with pricing, and how to avoid overpaying on the resale market if retail stock runs dry.
Local game stores that carry Disney Lorcana as part of their regular sealed product lineup are generally the most consistent source for themed starter sets like this one, since they tend to receive dedicated allocations rather than competing with general merchandise shelf space.
Calling ahead or checking a store's online inventory system before making a trip is worth the extra step, since these themed sets don't always restock as predictably as core booster boxes do.
Large retailers that carry Disney-branded merchandise alongside general toy and game sections often stock themed Disney Lorcana products like the Rapunzel starter set, particularly around back-to-school and early holiday shopping windows given the September release timing.
Availability at these retailers tends to be more inconsistent than at specialty stores, since Lorcana product isn't always their primary focus, so in-stock status can change quickly without much warning.
Preordering directly through a retailer's website before or shortly after release is typically the most reliable way to guarantee a copy, since first-wave allocations for themed starter sets tend to sell out faster than general set boosters.
If preorders have closed by the time you're reading this, checking multiple retailers' restock notifications is worth the effort rather than assuming the set is permanently sold out this early after a September 4 release.
The set's U.S. list price of $29.99 does not translate directly to Canadian retail pricing once exchange rates, import costs, and retailer margins are factored in, so expect a noticeably higher Canadian dollar price at most retailers.
Comparing listed prices across a few Canadian retailers before buying is worth the time, since the markup over U.S. pricing can vary meaningfully between big box stores and specialty shops.
If retail stock dries up locally, resale listings for the sealed starter set often carry a premium well above original retail, particularly for a set this newly released where the exclusive promo card is still generating fresh demand.
Patience tends to pay off here, since themed starter sets typically see at least one additional restock wave in the weeks following release, rather than permanently vanishing from retail shelves.
Some Canadian collectors look at U.S. retailers or marketplaces when Canadian stock is thin, but added shipping, potential duties, and exchange rate conversion often erase much of the apparent savings on a $29.99 product.
For a set at this price point, the math rarely favors cross-border buying once all the added costs are factored in, making local or Canadian online retailers the more practical choice in most cases.
Once you've tracked down a copy, keep the sealed box protected during transit and storage, especially if you ordered online and it arrived through the mail. A EVORETRO Display Case Protector for Lorcana Gift Set Boxes (Pack of 2) keeps the branded packaging shelf-ready from the moment it arrives.
If you end up opening loose packs from the set or supplementing with additional Attack of the Vine boosters, protect them individually as you go. EVORETRO Booster Pack Protector Sleeves keeps sealed packs safe until you're ready to open them.
It's priced at $29.99 in the United States, with Canadian retail pricing typically running higher.
Specialty game stores that regularly carry Disney Lorcana tend to offer the most consistent stock.
Usually not once shipping, duties, and exchange rates are factored in for a product at this price point.
Themed starter sets typically see at least one additional restock wave in the weeks following release.
Only if you're comfortable paying above retail; waiting for a restock is usually the better value.
Once your set arrives, keep the branded box protected with a EVORETRO Display Case Protector for Lorcana Gift Set Boxes (Pack of 2) while you decide whether to open it.
