McFarlane Toys confirms a Helldivers 2 CE-35 Trench Engineer Elite Edition figure, expanding its officially Sony Interactive Entertainment-licensed Super Earth soldier lineup with another distinct armor set beyond the previously released B-01 Tactical and TR-40 Gold Eagle figures. As of Wednesday, August 5, 2026, this continues McFarlane's methodical build-out of Helldivers 2's varied armor roster into a genuinely comprehensive 7-inch scale figure line.
Helldivers 2 has become one of the standout live-service success stories of recent years, and its distinctive armor customization system — offering dozens of visually varied Super Earth soldier loadouts — gives McFarlane's figure line considerably more roster depth to draw from than a typical single-protagonist game license would allow. Each armor set essentially functions as its own distinct character design within the game's broader Helldiver identity.
The CE-35 Trench Engineer figure follows McFarlane's Elite Edition format, featuring 7-inch scale ultra-articulation designed to let collectors recreate dynamic combat poses consistent with the game's frenetic firefights. As with the line's earlier releases, the figure is built around faithfully recreating one of the game's specific, recognizable armor sets rather than a generic soldier design.
Because Helldivers 2's core identity centers on customizable armor loadouts rather than a single named protagonist, McFarlane's figure line can expand almost indefinitely across the game's growing armor catalog without repeating the same character twice, giving dedicated players a genuine reason to collect multiple figures representing their own preferred in-game loadouts. The Trench Engineer set specifically appeals to players who favor that armor's particular gameplay bonuses and aesthetic.
Helldivers 2's sustained post-launch success, driven by regular content updates and a famously dedicated, meme-friendly community, has made it an increasingly attractive license for collectible companies looking to capitalize on a genuinely current cultural moment rather than a legacy franchise running on nostalgia alone. McFarlane's continued expansion of the line reflects that ongoing commercial confidence.
McFarlane's Helldivers 2 line spans both its standard Gaming Edition figures and premium Elite Edition releases, with the Elite tier typically offering enhanced articulation and detail work over the standard line. Collectors should confirm which tier a specific figure belongs to before purchasing, since pricing and feature sets differ meaningfully between the two.
McFarlane's Helldivers 2 line launched alongside a parallel God of War collection under the same new PlayStation licensing agreement, signaling a broader multi-franchise commitment to Sony's first-party and published catalog rather than a single-game licensing arrangement.
Players who main a specific armor loadout in-game often build their physical figure collection to mirror their own preferred squad composition, and the Trench Engineer's inclusion gives support-focused players a figure that actually represents how they play rather than only the game's most commonly marketed combat-focused sets. That personal connection is part of what has made this figure line resonate so strongly with the game's dedicated community.
McFarlane's parallel God of War license under the same PlayStation licensing agreement gives the company a genuinely broad Sony-published catalog to draw from going forward, and continued armor-set expansions within Helldivers 2 specifically suggest the game's live-service content updates will keep providing fresh figure material well beyond the initial wave. That ongoing content pipeline is a meaningful advantage over licenses tied to a single, static game release.
An acrylic display stand gives the figure's dynamic combat pose an elevated presence within a broader Helldivers 2 armor collection. Acrylic display risers work well for organizing multiple armor-set figures side by side.

McFarlane confirms the figure in 7-inch scale as part of its Elite Edition line.
Yes, McFarlane has previously released B-01 Tactical and TR-40 Gold Eagle figures within the same line.
The McFarlane Helldivers 2 CE-35 Trench Engineer figure gives dedicated players another distinct armor set to add to a growing Super Earth soldier collection. As of Wednesday, August 5, 2026, this continues McFarlane's methodical expansion of one of gaming's most currently relevant licenses. Collectors building out a full armor-set roster now have another essential piece, and keeping each figure's weathered paint detailing protected from dust and UV exposure preserves the gritty, battlefield-worn aesthetic that defines the entire line. As Helldivers 2 continues receiving new content updates, collectors should expect McFarlane's armor-set catalog to keep expanding right alongside it for the foreseeable future. Fans assembling a full squad of armor variants should budget for that ongoing expansion rather than treating the current lineup as a finished, fully complete set just yet. Watching McFarlane's official announcement channels remains the most reliable way to catch each new armor-set reveal before initial retailer allocations sell through.
