Super7 has made its Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Mutagen Ooze ReAction+ 4-pack available on its general storefront, following its debut as a San Diego Comic-Con exclusive. The set is priced at $100 for all four Turtles.
Leonardo, Donatello, Raphael, and Michelangelo each stand approximately 4 inches tall with nine points of articulation, and every figure in the set features glow-in-the-dark elements.
Mutagen Ooze has become a recurring theme across Super7's TMNT lineup, having previously appeared as a Glow variant within the brand's larger-scale Ultimates line. This ReAction+ release brings the same glow-in-the-dark concept to Super7's more compact, retro-styled figure format.
That format choice matters for collectors specifically chasing the classic ReAction aesthetic, since Super7's Ultimates and ReAction+ lines target different points on the articulation and detail spectrum despite sharing thematic concepts.
TMNT's mutagen ooze origin story is baked into the franchise's core concept, so a glow-in-the-dark treatment ties directly back to the Turtles' own in-universe mythology rather than being a purely cosmetic gimmick. That narrative tie-in is likely part of why Super7 keeps returning to the concept across multiple product lines and scales.
For display purposes, glow figures also offer a genuinely different presentation option compared to standard painted releases, giving collectors a reason to pick up a second set even if they already own a standard-colorway version of the same characters.
Convention exclusives moving to general retail after their initial exclusivity window is a common pattern for Super7, and it typically means demand has settled enough that the brand can restock without diluting the original SDCC drop's exclusivity too much. Collectors who missed the convention debut now have a straightforward path to the same set.
Pricing for the general release matches what was expected at the con debut, so there's no premium being charged for the wider availability window.
ReAction+ represents an evolution of Super7's classic ReAction figure format, generally offering a bit more detail and articulation than the original line while still keeping the retro-inspired scale and sculpting style that made ReAction figures popular in the first place. TMNT has been one of the format's strongest performing licenses.
Collectors building a broader ReAction+ TMNT collection now have both standard and glow variants to choose from, depending on display preference.
Owning both a standard-colorway and a glow variant of the same character set isn't redundant the way it might seem at first glance. The two versions genuinely display differently depending on lighting conditions, which gives a collector more display flexibility than either version alone provides.
Some collectors specifically rotate glow figures into a display only for photos or special occasions, keeping the standard colorway as the everyday display piece, which is a practical way to get value out of owning both without needing double the shelf space at all times.
The most common mistake with glow-in-the-dark figures is displaying them exclusively under direct light without ever giving them a proper charge cycle in darkness, which means the glow effect rarely gets shown off the way it's designed to be seen.
The second mistake is assuming ReAction+ figures share the same accessory count and articulation as Super7's larger Ultimates line. The two formats are built to genuinely different specs, so expectations should be set accordingly before purchase rather than after the figures arrive.
This release is one piece of a much larger Super7 TMNT catalog that spans Ultimates, ReAction, and ReAction+ formats across dozens of character and variant combinations. Collectors new to Super7's Turtles output have plenty of catalog depth to explore beyond just this Mutagen Ooze set.
Checking Super7's release calendar periodically is worth doing if you're building out a broader TMNT collection, since the brand doesn't always announce every restock or new variant with the same lead time as a major reveal like this one.
A 4-figure set like this benefits from display options that show off the full team together. The EVORETRO Acrylic Modular Case offers configurable sizing that can hold all four Turtles in one organized display.
For individual figure protection, the EVORETRO Clear Acrylic Display Case works well at ReAction+ scale. The EVORETRO Adjustable Easel Stand is also a good option for propping up a single figure to show off its glow detailing.
How many figures are in the set? Four, one each for Leonardo, Donatello, Raphael, and Michelangelo.
Was this originally a convention exclusive? Yes, it debuted at San Diego Comic-Con before moving to Super7's general storefront.
How tall are the figures? Approximately 4 inches each, with nine points of articulation.
Does the set include any accessories? The figures are sold as a 4-pack focused on the core characters; check Super7's official listing for a full accessory breakdown.
Mutagen Ooze's move from convention exclusive to general release gives collectors who missed the SDCC drop a clean opportunity to pick up the full 4-figure set at its original price point. Given Super7's TMNT line has sold through allocations before, general availability windows like this one are worth acting on rather than waiting.
Whether you're drawn to the glow gimmick or simply want a complete Turtles team in this scale, this set delivers both at a fair price relative to what convention exclusives typically command once they hit the resale market.
