Top 5 Rarest & Most Expensive Funko Pops
Ever wondered what the Funko Pop origin story is? All of a sudden it seems these miniature pop culture toys have been taking over the toy scene or at least have become a toy collector staple. Not that I am complaining, anything so adorable and possibly retro gets a thumbs up in my book. Funko Pops started 22 years ago when the then owner, a toy collector, originally wanted a coin bank, the coin bank was not much of a success but Funko Pop remained in business and sold bobbleheads for Austin Powers which sold 80,000 units and the rest is Funko Pop history. Fast forward to 2019, the Funko Pop CEO called his company “recession-proof”.
Now as with all toy collecting, rarity is the name of the game. Currently there are over 8,366 different Funko Pop variations out there it seems there is a pop for everything. Normally these Funko Pops would go for $20 a pop but these aggressively cute vinyl toys can go over the $1000 mark. So we’ve scoured the internet to find the TOP 5 RAREST (& MOST EXPENSIVE) FUNKO POPS out there
According to Funko Pops’ Creative Director, "People want more Batman; blows my mind how many versions we've done but they continue to sell so well." In this case, it’s the ultra Batgirl Metallic Funko that is proving to be one of the most in-demand and the rarest in the DC universe (Batman fans need not worry, the Batman metallic Funko Pop is in the top 10 rarest list as well). Prepare to part ways with a hefty $800 for this ultra-rare.

Wouldn't it be great if we could keep Robin Williams forever instead the next best thing would be a metallic Funko Pop of the Hollywood icon. Personally, I would like to think that it's keeping two fond memories of both the actor and Alladin's Genie. The laughs and joys immortalized through this figurine. It is to no one's surprise that the Metallic Genie Funko Pop flew off the shelves when it was first released in 2012.
It is already quite pricey last time we checked but there's no doubt, prices will continue to soar in the following years.

No one expected the adorable teddy bear to be the nemesis of the Toy Story 3 franchise. A worthy adversary nonetheless, it was a surprising twist that made the franchise even more memorable. This time Lotso’s Funko Pop on the top rarest list does not come as a surprise since this variation sports a velvety exterior in order to give that stuffed toy feel to it as opposed to the usual vinyl exterior we usually see in our Funkos. If you are a Toy Story Fan and a Funko collector this collectible would be very hard to resist.

- NED STARK (HEADLESS)
I dare say the season ender that made Game of Thrones unforgettable and got everybody hooked was this moment right here. It was a twist that nobody expected and most have never seen before. So it comes to no surprise that the Funko Pop Headless Ned Stark would become a collector's item. With 1008 headless Neds released last 2013 which includes the SDCC 2013 window sticker these “Neds” are quite difficult to obtain and will do quite the damage to your wallet.

- DUMBO (Clown Face)
Disney takes the cake for the rarest and most expensive Funko (at least for now). Disney's 1941 movie about a baby elephant with extremely large ears that ultimately led him to fly. Maybe everyone just loves baby elephants or dumbo sporting the clown make up or perhaps it's the fact that only 48 units were released back in 2013 but this adorable funko would be a feat to possess.
