Whilst going through a sea of Netflix shows I ran into an interesting show, Slobby’s World. It was definitely entertaining to witness someone who’s made a living out of his passion for buying and selling 80’s and 90’s memorabilia. Robert Hall or “Slobby Robby” owns Generation Cool, a 90’s inspired arcade and boutique.

Pretty cool right?! That said, and my interest piqued I did my own research and found some nifty 90's & 80'stoys that now cost a fortune.  

1.Original Nintendo GAMEBOY

Originally cost $89.99 on its first release in 1989. The grey brick is now a classic for game lovers all over. If in the right condition it can now cost up to $700.

 2.1970s Star Wars Action Figures

Limited Star Wars merchandise in 1977 was made and sold. In 2015, a collector auctioned off one of his Star Wars figures for $25000.

3. Beanie Babies

Do you remember the Beanie Baby craze on eBay? Well, we do.

One of the most expensive is the Princess bear, in honor of Princess Dianna sold for $90,000 in the UK. Just remember to keep that heart-shaped tag on the ear or else the beanie loses 50% of its value.

4. Garbage Pail Kids

Who would have thought the adult version of the Cabbage Patch Kids could be worth so much. One Adam Bomb Card actually cost $4500. The most expensive ones are the Japanese versions that can be bought for up to $1 million. The trick is to make sure the packaging is in pristine shape.  

5. PEZ dispensers

This family-owned business was originally made as an alternative to smoking and to help those who want to quit by taking mints instead. Instead, it was the dispensers that were a hit. The most expensive and sought after are the original 1955 dispenser,1982 world’s fair promotional dispenser,the locking cap 1940s, the Pez Gun from 1960’s.

6. HOT WHEELS

Did you know there are more hot wheel cars than actual cars today?

The 1968 white Enamel Camaro is said to be the first Hot Wheels created and can cost up to $2500.The most popular is the 1968 Pink Volkswagen Rear Load Beach Bomb that appeared in Las Vegas Pawn Stars on the History Channel. Only two were created, as a prototype and not a toy. It can cost up to $125,000 which can actually buy you two Porsche. 

7. Vintage Atari Cartridges

When we think Atari you can’t help but think of Pong. Then the makers created Tank which inspired Atari combat and the rest is gaming history. That’s why it comes to no surprise that a copy of Gamma Attack can sell up to $20,000 - $50,000 while some copies of Birthday Mania can go for $35,000.
